Summary
The Mansion’s bone-in wings hit the same niche wing spot as Kingston Brew Pub. These aren’t your traditional deep fried, crispy wings, but rather a dark, saucy, campfire-esque experience. They’re a little lacking in size, and they only have one flavour option to choose from, but it’s a tasty wing! Important to note that we did not rate the so-called “boneless wings” because this group rates proper wings only, and not glorified chicken nuggets.
“These wings are a fantastic example of how to do a grilled wing. They’re a little lacking in size, and they only have one flavour option to choose from, but it’s a tasty wing! The service we had last night was top notch!”
“The wings were good, and tasted exactly like chicken, not like fat. The sauce was incredible, but my last 6 wings were cold and the rest were lukewarm at best – and I was served first!”
“I really enjoyed these wings. I didn’t think I would due to them being grilled wings. The smoked whiskey BBQ sauce was very good and went very well with their white wine cheddar cream sauce. The wings were not very large nor did they retain heat well; which seems to be common among grilled wings. I would definitely enjoy eating them again.”
“The wings at The Mansion were grilled with a unique barbecue flavour. I wouldn’t call them bad, but they’re not the kind of wings I like. Other people in the group seemed to like them. I liked the venue itself best. It had a casual atmosphere that is conducive to the typical wing night frivolities. Important to note that we did not rate the so-called “boneless wings” because this group rates proper wings only, and not glorified chicken nuggets.”
“The wings themselves were quality. The sauce was great if you’re into dark, sticky, smokey sauces. I really wanted to try these dusted with a few other sauces but alas not an option at the Mansion sadly. Wait staff was friendly. ”
“The Mansion’s bone-in wings hit the same niche wing spot as Kingston Brew Pub. These aren’t your traditional deep fried, crispy wings, but rather a dark, saucy, campfire-esque experience. They even have a bit of a smokey vibe to them. If you like non-conformist wings, these are the ones for you.”
“The sauce on these wings was smoky, sweet, and firey. They were tasty at first, but by the third wing i was tired of the flavour. These wings would be perfectly acceptable as an appy shared by several people, but they’re not scrumptious enough to make a meal. Also, mine were pretty lukewarm (maybe it was because the Mansion was freezing, or maybe it was the lack of a deep fried coating to insulate the wings). Props to Nicole who was a great server.”
